Carson’s Creekside Menu

Carson’s Creekside is a long standing locally-owned restaurant in dire need of a face lift. Committing one of design’s cardinal sins, their overuse of the font “Papyrus” isn’t giving them the fine dining aesthetic they are hoping for.

The Challenge

Bringing a dated logo and menu to the modern age of fine dining, while encompassing the restaurant’s locale.

About the Brand

Carson’s Creekside’s current logo uses an outdated font, the new logo replaces “Papyrus” with “Montserrat”, a modern san serif. This minor change elevates the logo from local watering hole to a fine-dining establishment.

It was important to the client to maintain the nod to the locale: creekside. Restaurant goes can often catch a glimpse of cattails and resident herons. The original rendition of these two elements limited design options as it was not scalable and overly cluttered.
