Neighbor’s Envy Barbecue

Neighbor’s Envy Barbecue is a client’s grilling team name, yum! With a competition coming up, he wanted to up his swag game by having a team logo created to put on shirts, flags, aprons, all the fun stuff.

The Challenge

Creating a fun grilling logo that makes all the neighbors jealous. The logo must also include a reference to the client’s grill: The Big Green Egg.

About the Brand

For this logo the circular shield design conveys a sense reliability. Good food is okay but consistently good food is envious.

Green plays two parts in this design. It is a not-so-subtle nod to the saying “green with envy” as well as a representation of this client’s grill of choice: The Big Green Egg.

Picket fences have a long history of symbolism. Currently, however, they serve as a status symbol fellow suburbanites envy.
